Within a list I have labeled V.I.P. (Very Influential People/Person), there’s a gentleman named Anthony “Spark Plug” Thomas. His nickname catches your attention like the pages of his magazine. Spark Plug is Publisher of People You Need to Know magazine (PYNTK). This inspiring read is one I have been picking up for years before actually meeting Spark Plug.

If you are not familiar, PYNTK magazine highlights Atlanta’s most successful business women. They are given full page ads that includes a full biography of their success and company. I found myself attracted to the magazine because the women looked just like me, women of color. It was easy flipping through the pages and imagining my name, picture and business highlighted.

My first introduction with Spark Plug was at The Taste of Mexico (July 2010) event in the Suntrust building downtown. With a table display set-up with his latest edition of PYNTK magazine, I instantly recognized the brand. From that meeting I stay up to date with all his motivating events. The energy in the room at PYNTK events are amazing. Women empowering women in one room really has an effect that causes you to dream big and achieve greatness.

I find the magazine relevant because a young entrepreneur like myself can seek guidance from the women in the magazine. Any business woman within the pages of the magazine or website (http://www.sparkplugpeople.com/) will not hesitate in becoming a mentor. Taking it a step further, internship opportunities may be available.

Thank you Anthony “Spark Plug” Thomas for being my V.I.P.
